PROJECT NAME:  Moena’s Parking Structure

TYPOLOGY: Competition | Landscape | Medium Size project

YEAR: 2013

DIMENSIONS:  5000 m²

CLIENT: Arch. Roberto Gasparini e Arch. Luca Fornaciari

CONCEPT: A multi-tiered garden system camouflages a new six-story, 250-spot parking structure designed for the city of Moena. The overall effect is one of terraced wildflower carpets. Care was taken to include indigenous plant species typical of the regional mountain habitat. Together with a new bridge, the parking structure forms a sculptural tribute to the lush local flora. A seasonal blooming schedule ensures colored terraces year round. A network of small paths will allow guests to walk through the colored terraces.
